Mountains vs. City
I would rather live at Horse Mountain as apposed to Pagosa. Pagosa is a reservation and Horse Mountain is the mountain where the main character in my book lives. I don’t know much about either, but I think living in the mountains would be a lot more appealing. The good things about living in the mountain are that you don’t have to pay rent and you don’t have anyone to bother you. The bad about living on the mountain is that you live so far away from the town that if anything happens to go wrong you would be too far away to get medical help and such. Also it would take a lot of hard work, diligence, and patience. You would have to grow a lot of your own food, and what you didn’t grow you would have to hunt for. The good about living in the town is that if anything goes wrong there will be people close to help you out, but the bad things are that you would have to pay rent and taxes and such. So even though there are some big negatives, I think I would much rather live on the mountain. It would be tough, but I think I would be able to survive. I would love to have the peacefulness and the beauty of nature, but I would not like having to grow and hunt for my own food. Nor would I like having to chop fire wood for the whole winter, but I think in the end it would be worth it.

I believe in this one wholeheartedly. living in the mountains is a lot better them living in a city where there is no peace and quiet. living in the mountains may be dangers but it would save you a lot of money and would also show that you are disciplined.

Hi Kaden,
So then I gather that you are writing a book huh? That’s cool, I am not sure that you can live in the mountains without paying rent but that would be nice. Unfortunately kiddo, you still have to pay taxes and rent. You are so right when you say it would be a lot of work to live in the mountains. You have to fight the elements as well as the basic necessity of survival. But you are right it would be worth it.

sweet yeah i would have to agree with you because i dont like the feeling of being owned by the main company of Pagosa. i got enough patience to do the same as Thomas he does a great job at the age of eleven. you did a great job writing this.
