True Friendship

“True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost”
-Charles Caleb Colton

I think true friendship is one of the hardest things to find in ones life. Now that I am pregnant, I’ve learned who my true friends are. They are the ones that are still there for me and don’t think any differently of me now that I’m having my own family. A couple of them I have known since I was 7 years old, but one of my closets friends I have only known for 4 years. I think one of the most important things in true friendship is that they will be honest with you about everything, but I also think it’s important for them to be able to help you and be able to make you feel better no matter what.

My two best friends are Carter and Billy. Billy is 6’ 4” (as tall as my pap’s) I have known him from the time I was 7 years old. I like to call him my therapists because he helps me solve my problems when I don’t know who else to turn too. He is so close to me and my boyfriend that we call him our brother and he is one of our godfathers. This is one of thee only people I know that just by seeing his face he can make me happier even if I had just been crying. My other friend Carter and he is the other godfather. He now lives up in Sugar House so I don’t get to see him as much. He and I have been friends since I got into high school. When I talk to him, I can’t help but laugh because of some of the things he says.

I have experienced losing friends in multiple ways, but I think the worst way I have lost a friend is in a car accident. His name was Keifer Sandoval. He died the first Friday of my sophomore year. I met him one night when I decided to walk down to the park by my house. He and his friends were all jumping around the tables screaming with their shirts off. When he got in the crash, it was around 6:45 am he overcorrected and went over the embankment with his little brother in the car. When all of us kids that were at school, we found out it was in first period when they announced that one of our students had been in a wreck. Then in second period they finally announced his name and told people that knew him to come to the auditorium so that we could talk and listen to his music.

Brianna,
Everything you said seems to srike at home. True friends never judge you by your mistakes they just accept you for who you are. I have had friends come and go but certain ones you know will last forever. True friends are very rare but a great thing to have. The to guys you described remind me of my best friend Justin. Your a great writer the only thing I can recommend is a smoother between the second and third paragraph. Keep writing! Good luck with future endeavors.

great job, I agree with you completely, it's when things get hard that you realize who is truly down for you. Friends come and go only true friends always stay around.

As hard as it is to find real friends they do exist. Once you have hold on to them. Brinana i love you and i know you're going through a lot but you do have good people that will be there for you! Don't forget I'm one of those people.
