How old were you when you had your first child? Do you have one yet? Well, I do and I’m not even out of high school. Having a child has turned my life upside down and backwards. When I first found that I was pregnant, there was no doubt in my mind that I would keep the child, but I had no idea of what I would be giving up. No more going out at night to movies, no spending time with friends after school. I now spend my days changing dirty diapers and cleaning up puke.
It’s all worth it. When my daughter looks at me with those big brown eyes and smiles a smile that could make even Hades heart melt, I know that no matter how hard it gets for me, the love my daughter and I share is worth ever minute of it.

Dart Wars
Have you ever had a dart war? Dart wars are like most gun games: water fights, laser tag, paint ball, or bee-bee guns, except not as painful as some. My friend always started our dart gun fights by saying “I’m going to shoot you in the eye” to Amber. We would grab our guns and the fight would begin. Wars only lasted about 40 minutes every other day. They were usually staff versus kids, of course kids always out number staff three or four to two. Don and Amber would battle it out with Beau, mike, me, and sometimes Monte. We lost about twenty darts between us.

Going to the Beach
Sitting around the house was what we did when we got to California. Marcos and I came from Utah from a little city called Provo and we had driven all the way from Provo to East Los Angeles. When we got to Steve’s house at 7 in the morning we were tired and lazy but we didn’t let anything stop us from unpacking the car. We went inside to wake up Steve and tell him that we were here already, when he got up he looked up at us with a face that said he was still tired.

On the morning of Aug 10, 2007, I had gotten a rude awakening by the bailiff for the Ogden City Juvenile Court. He had come into my room and told me to get up, and that I was going to DT. During this time, I had felt tired, angry at my parents for calling the police because I wouldn’t wake up for court, and confused as to why my parents would call the police on me. I had complied with the officer, and got up, put on my shoes, and left with the officer, after he had handcuffed me outside of my house. Later, he had told me that if I would have gone to court, then I would have been able to stay home with my parents instead of going into programs. He had taken me to DT, gotten me settled in, and left. I was with a bunch of people I didn’t know and who I was scared of for the next couple of days.

The First Time
Why is everyone talking? I ask myself this knowing the answer normally. But tonight is different and will be for the next two years straight almost. Sitting on the couch thinking my heart was going to pop right out of my chest any second now. I start to pass out and I think I’m dying. I get up and crawl over to my 25 year old brother arms to try to relax and feel normal again. This was the first time I every got “high” from smoking “weed.”

Vandalism
Have you ever been chased by the cops? It such an adrenalin rush I think that you have got no idea. The wind is rushing through your hair, foot steps following at a quick pace, and your heart pounding in your chest. How about the sight of five kids running through backyards, across streets, and through parks. Wow, that feeling and experience was so fun try to imagine! Although all good things come to an end, and the day came when we had to face our actions.

Have you ever known someone with serious bladder problems? To the point that they had to wear a pee bag? Where they’ve had at least two surgeries in the past year? I have. His name was Michael Horton. He was another kid in the group home with me. There was a time where I was asked to go to the hospital with him and a staff, Mikey had to go to the hospital a lot lately, so I went with them. This ended up being a life changing experience for me.

“Bluuuuugh”, Gross! Awww, the flashing lights need to stop. Damn it, damn it damn it, here we go again. Why, oh why did this have to happen tonight, of all nights? God my head is going to explode! Okay so there’s puke in my hair, my head is killing me already, and I’m so not looking forward to waking up tomorrow. This is taking too long, is it possible to talk any slower? Just take me to my cell and let me try and sleep this off.

“I’m going to return her to her parent’s custody and close her case,” said Judge Bazzle. This was one of the happiest days of my life. It meant I was finally free to make my own decisions. See this court thing has been going on since around my birthday in 2001. This last time I went into states custody they decided that I should go into foster care so I could learn how to be responsible. My mom and I both went into court expecting to go to jail and detention for at least 30 days or get some other form of punishment. I think when I went into court even though I was facing contempt that it all boiled back to me being responsible and going to school.

Warped Tour, the biggest concert of the year. We were both getting prepared for the concert. “Push it up!” Clint yelled. I was furiously attempting to get my extremely long hair up into a fohawk. After an hour and fifteen minutes I got my hair to stay up. We were ready for the best concert of the year. We were both extremely stoked.
We arrived at the Utah State Fairgrounds in Salt Lake City a few hours later. We had to park 3 blocks away just for a parking spot. The walk seemed like it was forever just because of the sheer excitement for the concert. Clint and I met up with some of my other friends Erin, Cori, Cody, Clint, and myself. We pulled out the tickets and waited in line.

Dandelion Wine was an interesting Book. The book is mostly about a boy named Douglas and his brother Tom. They go through a lot of different adventures. They are very close and farther into the book they get the idea to write down all their revelations. The first one they write down is old people never were young
The book takes place during summer in Greentown, Illinois in the mid 1900’s.the town is small and everyone knows everyone else. The town has a drug store where a lot of people spend there days.
One part in the book there are two old women with a green machine. The green machine is a form of transportation that goes fifteen miles per hour. The two old women hit an old man with the green machine and are freaking out that they had killed him. They hide in their attic isolating themselves so they don’t get caught and thrown in prison for murder. Douglas comes to their house to tell him that everything is okay.
Sam
Another part is the time machine. The time machine is an old man who tells the children about his past. They are very engrossed in his stories that they go a few times.

The characters in the book are Douglas the main character age twelve. Then his little brother Tom that aids him in his adventures of Green Town Illinois. All the people of the town like the two old lady’s, time machine, Mme Tarot, The god John Huff, the family like grandma, aunt Rose, mom, and dad that most of them. Some cool events that take place in the book are making wine out of dandelion’s and catching summer of 1928 in to drink up some day and remember the good, bad, and all of that year.
Also another cool thing that happened was the good or bad “witch’s” fighting. Finding the machines to talk to and get the stories

In Dandelion Wine there is a kid named Douglas who is pretty much the main character and his little brother Tom. The book basically tells the story of their summer. These kids love summer a lot and they hate the winter. They live in a small town where there isn’t much to do except go out in the wilderness and kick it.
Dandelion wine is a wine that they make every summer and it reminds the kids of summer. I don’t think that the kids drink the wine in the book but when they see it, it reminds them of summer. New shoes also remind Douglas of the beginning of summer because every year at the first of summer he gets new summer shoes.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes really descriptive writing and lots of riddle type messages and what not. Like at one point there talking about a so called ’green machine’ and for a few pages Ray Bradbury keeps you wondering what the green machine is. He gives lots of hints and clues so that by the time he actually tells what it is you already had a good idea of what it was. It’s not my type of book personally but it’s alright.

I think that the main character is Douglas and he is at the age of 12. He has a younger brother and his mane is Tom and he is 10 years old. These two are the ones that I care about the most so they are the ones that I am going to talk about. The book is about their adventures in their life that I happen to think are pretty interesting. It has got killers in the book, old story tellers, and wacky people that are paranoid, lonely, and looking for some adventure themselves. This book takes place in the early 1920’s and it happens to be in the Mid West in Green Town Illinois. I think that in order to find out the plot of the story you would have to read the book cause it has so many plots you take the one you want.
This book is about summer and the meaning and impact that it has on people. Although I don’t think that this is the only meaning to this book, there are a lot of meanings to this book. It all depends on what kind of mood you are in or in this case I was in. What I got from the book though is that all good things that we all have come to an end. Everything that both of the boys loved and cherished either died or came to some sort of end. One in particular that I can think of is the old man that they think is a time machine. Later on in the book the old guy dies in a tragic death that is not a good thing to read (skip it, it made me cry).
If you ask me, well I am a very opinionated man so you are going to have to endure, I think that is a book that you need to read this book. It has got great thing in there that you just need read. I think that I liked it because it gave me some insight on things that had lots of question on. For one thing it would have to be Death and what I think about it. I know value old people more then I did before and have seen that one day I am going to be an old man. One that sits on his porch and swears at the kids that goes by on their lamberfeeties.

Hello, I’m here to tell you about Dandelion Wine, a book I read in English class this term. It’s pretty much about two boys; Doug and Tom are brothers who discover that they are alive and are really digging it until Doug sees that there’s so much more to life than playing around with friends and eating ice cream.
Doug discovers that people grow old and die, that machines rust and break down, and that someday even he will die. This really scares him because he’s so used to the thought that he’ll never grow old and that adults are totally different creatures living among children.
I thought that it was a good book over all I would definitely recommend that someone else read it, but only someone of a higher reading level because it is a difficult book and some one who doesn’t read very much probably wouldn’t like it as much as someone who reads regularly. Because it uses a bunch of words that someone who doesn’t read wouldn’t understand and the writing style can get a little confusing at times. But I would definitely recommend this book to those who read more.

Dandelion Wine doesn’t really have one main plot. There are just a lot of small conflicts that kind of tie into each other in the end. It makes it kind of confusing because the author goes from one topic to another. The book in the end makes more sense and you have to pay attention to get it. The author also uses a lot of analogies and is very descriptive, using many minute details.
This book had a lot of themes many of them were small but meaningful. For example death of close people played a big role in the main characters lives. The main characters, Douglas and Tom, learned about the significance of passing on memories. They learned the meaning of past, present, and future.
I personally didn’t think this book was the best I’ve ever read. I enjoyed it once I figured out how to decipher what was actually going on. I would only recommend this book to experienced readers who have time to focus on what they’re reading and keep up with the book.

I think that true love is either very rare or not there at all. Most of the people that I know or who I hang out with only date a girl because she is hot. I know that is true with me too. I only date a girl if I think she is cute or if she is way cool to hang out with. When people young date though, they only end up staying together for only three months. So my first opinion is that true love is extremely rare when you are under 25.
My second opinion is when you get older you find your true love. The true love is couples that have been married for like 50 to 70 years. They end up going through everything together, and that’s where true love is formed. Think of all the surgeries and health problems they go through when getting older. It would take true love to have to help your partner or clean up after them, while they are recovering. When one of the partners dies after being married for such a long time, the other one usually passes away within two years. That is true love to me.
Physical attraction plays a big part in finding your true love. Most people say that it is what’s on the inside that matters, but think if you aren’t attracted to them in some way then you wouldn’t have ever wanted to talk to them.

“True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few have ever seen.”
- Fran La Rochefoucauld
I don’t believe in ghosts so I guess true love is not real either from what I have found yet. I thought I found the person that I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. Well I was lost and didn’t even know tell it was all over and done. Love is like the song “Love drunk” and what I mean by that is you can’t seem to see behind the one you love, it’s really sad when you come to that point. I don’t know if true love exist or the perfect girl/ boy friend. But if you’re Megan Fox then it’s true.
I’m going to stay out of anything to series for a good little while. For everyone’s sake, I have some things I want to do before I start to be with someone. I have noticed since I have had this mind set all the girls I like keep starting a new relationship. But I can’t do anything yet. Give it two months and then life starts.

In the book Dandelion wine there is the big plot of enjoying life without any kind of machine or technology. However, there are other little plots in the chapters that go along with the stories. When Doug’s Great Grandma dies he starts to think about all of the people that have passed or gone away and realizes that he will die. There is also the plot of losing something that is important to you like your best friend or the thought of something scary out there, lurking on the edge of town, waiting to kill. Tom goes through some of the dilemma with his brother Doug and some of his own. I believe that the main point that you should get from this book is to enjoy the summers and being a kid because they only come once in a lifetime and then there gone forever.
The meaning of the book is just to enjoy life with all of its simple pleasures instead of looking for something that will make it better for a moment. In the book there are machines that people make to be happier, but in the end it only ends in sadness or regret. Also Douglas and Tom find a lot of meanings in the summer like the meaning of good food and Grandmas house, death, believing in something scary, and taking the time to listen. When Douglas goes to Colonel Freeleigh’s house he doesn’t get the Time Machine idea at first, but later on he gets is and likes to go spend time hearing and learning about all of the things Colonel Freeleigh has done and where he’s been. For the theme I believe it to simply be, enjoy life the way it is without help from any machine.
My opinion of this book is that is should be read by everyone. There are many people that have missed there childhood or feel that way and think that they have missed out on a lot; however, they really had a full childhood and did bunches of things. I believe that this book will help people realize all of the good times they had and what they learned as a child. To me this book takes you back to the time when things were simple and you could go for an Ice cream or candy without worrying about how much or what will happen. Dandelion Wine takes us back to the simpler times when we could enjoy life without the cell phone, computers, I Pods, and GPS locaters. It takes us back to a time when we could smell the flowers and tend to the garden without rushing around doing other things too. Dandelion Wine is a great book and should be read.

Music is my life so I am going to tell you some things I know about Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance.
Gerard Way, 32, was born in Newark New Jersey on April 4th; 1977.He wanted to become a comic book artist and, for a while, succeeded. He went to a visual arts school and got a degree. Some of his accomplishments are
“the Umbrella Academy”, “Breakfast Monkey”, and “On Ravens Wings”, which was canceled due to the loss of his publishing, teem after only one issue.
He was 15 when he was held at gun point with a .357 Magnum. He stated,” No matter how ugly the world shows me it is, I never lose faith.”
On September 11th, 2001, he was working in a comic book store when the Trade Centers fell. He realized he wanted to do something that would make a difference in the world. He wrote a song called “Skylines and Turnstiles”, which later became My Chemical Romance’s first official song. He started the band with Mathew Palliser. Others in the band included Gerard’s own little brother Mikey, Ray Toro, And Frank Lero. In2002, Mathew Palliser was replaced by Bob Bryer, changing their music from Rock to Emo. Way’s Grandmother was a huge part in their lives and influenced them greatly. When she passed away, Gerard wrote the song “Helena” about her.
Gerard uses music to cope with his problems like I do. He became a drunk and addicted to his prescription drugs. Music became his coping mechanism and got through his problem.

My favorite ghost story actually happened to me. One night I was asleep in my room and then I heard my toy xzilophone being played outside my room. At this time of night, everyone was asleep, so I got up to see what was going on. When I walked out, there was a little boy playing on my toy and he told me that everything was going to be okay and then I went back to bed. Ever since then I have never had any major sicknesses.
Some of the ghost stories do scare me, if I know that they are true or I let my imagination get the best of me and then I believe it. Usually I just start to imagine things that are happening because of the story. Also, I have an overactive imagination so that doesn’t help at all.
Yes, I have felt like I was being followed by someone at night. I used to walk alone to the Smith’s at night and then walk back and I’d feel like someone was following me until I got to a street light and then I felt okay. Usually this happened to me in my house when I was home alone, when I was going into my mom’s closet, or coming from or going to the basement.
The news stories scare me if I know the people or it is in my neighborhood because then they are near me, but if it is somewhere else not to close to me, I just think, why do people have to be so stupid and do things like that to other innocent people? I think that everyone should just try not to hurt anyone because we all deserve to live.
I think that the news scares me more then a ghost story. I think that is because on the news that stuff is actually real and not just made up. So I guess that I am going to tell you a story that happened to me when I was a little kid.
Do you remember when you were at the age of 3? Because I do and I can tell you that I have got some crazy memories. So any way when I was 3 that is when the scariest thing happened to me in my whole life at least. My older brother had some a friend stay the night and his friend’s girlfriend. Then after every one went to sleep at like 3 in the morning my older brother came running into my mother’s room. He said “you have got come here right know it is urgent.” As he did this he woke up my older sister and I so we followed as well.
So I think that it is important to tell you that older brothers name is Matthew. We finally reach the living room where we find my older brothers friend laying in the middle of the floor. As we get closer we see scratches all over his body. They are slowly appearing all over his body but not the way you think that they are. They are from the inside out and not the outside in. Then we look at his right arm only to find my brothers name etched into his arm it read matt/die.
So in my old house we hade this sliding glass door that had these draping blinds that hung into the ground. We turn toward the door only to see a three foot thing looking into our window. This thing had: yellow eyes, huge horns, and that looked like razor sharp teeth. So I guess for lack of a better word it looked like a little demon. Then after about 10 seconds the demon was gone leaving the blinds swinging in the wind. The next thing that we did was leave the house and had a priest come and bless the house for us. That had to be the best thing that happened in my life.10 times scarier then scary.

There was a homeless man, whose only positions were the clothes on his back, a dog, and a hand gun. One day some men came to him offering him $1,000,000 to sleep in the town’s haunted house. Everyone was scared to even go near it. The bum agreed, believing the challenge to be easy money.
That night he slept in the house. He made his bed and fell asleep. He awoke to a noise; not seeing anything, he went back to sleep. A few hours latter he woke again to what sounded like some one on the stairs. He reached for his gun; nothing happened and the noise stopped, so he went back to bed.
A third time he was again woken up. This time to his dog growling, facing the foot of the bed. He peaked over the blankets and saw two yellow eyes staring at him. He reached for his gun, aimed for the left eye, and fired.
A terrible scream filled the night air. Three men, who swore they would never go near the house, heard the scream. A sudden serge of bravery cursed through them. They ran to the human scream, hoping they would be able to help.
When they got to the house they looked in every room. They didn’t find anything. A low moan had them running up the stairs. They walked into the last room they hadn’t looked in. blood was every where. They saw the homeless man and went to him. They asked what happened. He replied…
“I shot myself in the foot.

My thoughts on growing are just that we grow with the years. We learn new things and we teach them to others. We experience things that couldn’t be experienced before, when we were younger. Most people think it’s a bad thing to grow old, but I think that they are just afraid of what they don’t know will happen. Most people associate being old with dying or getting “ugly”, but I associate it with knowledge and experience. I will accept my age no matter what.
I think that some of my grandparents are over 65. Some of them do good and some of them do bad. The ones that are doing good have their own house and business and one of them actually has Parkinson’s disease but he stays happy in his life. My other grandparents seem to be depressed and unhappy with their lives. They also don’t want to accept getting old.
I try to accept them just as family, but it’s hard sometimes because I don’t have a good relationship with my grandparents because I really only see the ones who are depressed. It’s also been hard because I have been away for almost eighteen months now. I hope to have a good relationship with them.

There are many scary stories that are made up, but some are real stories that have happened. Which it does scare me because it is some thing that really did happen that is actually going on out there and it could have happened to me. There is this one story which is pretty good pretty intense if you’re with your friends and it is really dark out and your chill’ in outside around a fire. It could have really happened because it is realistic and nothing that could have been done.
There is this woman she just barely got off work she gets in her car to drive home. She gets on the highway and starts for her home. Half way home she gets flashed from behind twice from the headlights. The truck driver does this every so often. It is really noticeable because it is really late out, she turns up the radio to the news. It said,”There is an escaped murderer…” it also gave the description of the man. So the truck driver followed her all the way home, which she is starting to freak out now, because every few minutes she would get flashed, and she’s being followed home. She finally decides to take a detour to get the driver lost and to loose the driver as well. It didn’t work.
She finally arrived home she pulled up and got out of her car and try to run inside when she got intercepted by the truck driver. He asked her to listen to him, but she was a bit freaked out about the whole situation. He said every time he flashed her to the guy in the back of her seat got down and every so often he would come back up then I would flash my head lights and he would go down. She was pretty convinced but edgy so they went to the back seat and opened the door and there was the murderer. He killed both the truck driver and the woman. That is kind of freaky and it could happen to any one so yeah it is pretty creepy.

I’m writing this journal on my feelings about ghost stories. Usually ghost stories don’t scare me at all, until I’m asleep, then I get paranoid. But it usually only lasts like half an hour, but there have been times when it lasted a lot longer. For example, one time when I was about ten years of age, my family was out camping and my grandpa told me a story about skin walkers, and I didn’t sleep the entire time. We were in that canyon. It was the longest I’ve ever stayed awake. It was terrible for me and the people I kept up.
I think that news stories are a lot scarier than ghost stories, because you can be sure that the news is true, for the most part. Those things can still happen to random people at random times, and there’s nothing the world can do about it. We just watch in painful silence wishing we could be heroes, but we’re always too late to save the day.

True friendship is when you and a friend have been through all sorts of crazy stuff together, and will have each others back no matter what. It takes a lot of time to become true friends with someone. Because no matter how good of friends you think you are with someone, they can always stab you in the back.
I only have a couple friends that I can call my true best friends. I have friends all across the country but none of them have my back like my homies Brandon and Garrett, from Payson. I’ve been friends with Garrett since I was eight years old. We have done all sorts of crazy stuff together. We have lots of memories. And my friend Brandon has been my friend for about three years and I’ve had more good memories with this kid than I’ve had with any other friend. I’m sure this kid will have my back forever, just like I’ll have his back.
The loss of a friend sucks. I’ve had two cousins, and at least three friends, die from drug overdoses and it’s hard to take. But I’ve also lost a lot of friends temporarily just from being locked up. It sucks. It feels like a part of your life disappears when you lose a good friend.

True friendship is when you know you have someone that you can trust. A true friend is someone that will always respect your choices not only that but support them as well. A good friend would never be a bad influence on you, or get you into a bad situation. A good friend will stand by you through just about anything.
I’ve had a couple good of good friends, but the best one was Robert Bautista. When I first met him we became good friends right away. We had a lot in common. He was a goof and I was a clown, so we messed around a lot. He always supported me and never pressured me to do anything I didn’t want to do. Because of family problems I ended up moving in with him. He was always there for me in good and bad times. For example for my birthday he was the only one to actually care enough to give me a present. I didn’t like all the attention you get, so I didn’t really remind anyone. He remembered and threw me a huge BBQ which was one of the most fun times in my life.

The President went to schools to speak to children across America this week, and there was a lot of conflict as to whether or not Mr. Obama should be allowed to do this. I think that for one, he’s the president and I doubt he will say anything that is inappropriate. In America education is becoming more and more important to survive, and I think that he should have the right to influence children for the better and encourage them to go to school. He wasn’t talking about a touchy subject like religion, or politics that children can’t really understand. I also think it’s a good idea to have children at a younger age understand the importance of finishing high school. If parents really feel like their kids can’t handle hearing from the president that they need to stay in school, then I think that there is more to why they don’t their kids to watch his speech. We can raise our kids and instill in them the things we want them to be only to an extent. Once they start school, as parents you have more influence to worry about than your own. If you really want your kids to be the best they can be, they need to see the world as it is and make choices on their own. I also think that parents should be happy that the president wants be a part of that and involve himself in our schools.

True friendship to me is a friend that will stick by you no matter what happens. That friend is someone who is always there to help you, and someone you would go through hell and back with. A true friendship isn’t just there, you have to work at it, and then after a while that’s when you know they are you true friends. A true friend is going to write to you while you are locked up and will be there the day that you get out. A true friend to me isn’t really just a friend, they are more like family. In my opinion I think that any person should only be able to count their TRUE friends on one hand.
I think that I have one true friend, and I have known him for the better part of my life. One of them I met in my apartment complex when I was 9, and I have known him since then. I used to go camping with all of his family. I was at his house everyday, or he was hanging out at my house. He came camping with my family a couple of times, and both of our families know each other really well. I consider his mom like a second mom to me, and he considers my mom a second mom to him. When I hit middle school in about the middle of ninth grade, that’s when I started using drugs. He got into skating and since I was using he didn’t really want to hang around anymore (which I don’t blame him.) But when I got locked up he started writing me, and I am still writing him, so that’s why I consider him my true friend.

My first thought on age. I can’t wait to tell my sister happy birthday today. She is turning 24 today. Every time I even thought about saying something she would tell me to stop. It was like I was talking about death. It was that bad. She nearly started to cry every time I talked about what she wanted or anything about it. I love old people. I love to hang out with them, talk to them, and listen to all the fun stories. Listening to the times they enjoyed in life makes me feel good. Try to connect and show some empathy for them and just have fun.
When I think of older people I think of my Grandma and Grandpa, the ones I found at Summit. My grandma Jo that runs the show from the front desk and then we talk during 5th period. Then Doug the old principal was my best friend I could talk to for hours and not ever run out of things to say. Both of these people helped me out so much last year with a huge problem at the time, but looking back on it, it really wasn’t as big as I thought. Why I think I get along with older people is I grew up with my real Grandma and Grandpa for the first ten years of my life.

I think that getting older is a big part of life. Lots of the time I wish that I was old or at least older. Mostly so that I can look back on my life and look at all of my life accomplishments. Also so tat I can look all the stuff that I messed up on and how I pulled through it. Oh yeah growing old scares me. I think that the idea of it that scares me is the fact that I will be loosing my mind and not know yesterday or for that matter 10 minuets ago. I think that if I ever get this far in my life, I would like someone to kill me. Although I think that I would like it to be in my sleep when they do cause death scares me. If no one will do it, I will sit in the bath tub and through in a toaster. I think that I am going to embrace the fact that I am and will be getting old. I am going to be one of those old people that sit on their porch and yell at the kids that go by. I will spit at them and also shoot them with a bee bee gun as they go by ha ha. Ill get out of trouble by claiming that I am senile and can’t even remember yesterday. Some times I think that old people have got some very funny stories and a lot of them. So they are very interesting people more interesting then the kids or people these days. I am going to be the coolest old person I am going to fill my grand kids with a bunch of junk. I think that it is going to be fun!

My favorite season is winter because the snow is great and makes the scenery look beautiful and I get to go snowboarding, it is my favorite sport. I like to go snowboarding with a group of my friends and hitting up the ramps, half pipe, and the terrain park in general. I love doing things with my friends just chill with them in a house sitting in front in the fire drinking hot chocolate. Those are the good days doing anything to just have fun with them, of course nothing stupid. The significance of winter is that my birthday is in the winter, on the first of January. Yup New Years baby! Also there is the fantastic day of Christmas, every one loves Christmas. Getting presents is awesome, but giving is even better you see the look from them and see the appreciation in there face it makes you feel so good. There is other things’ to do in the winter that I like to do for example go snowmobiling and four wheeling that is freaking fun. My favorite would be playing snow football; it is like the best thing to do other than go snowboarding. The snow being crushed and being sliced through and the wind flowing by makes you feel good when you are snowboarding, its so much fun. Falling into the snow is what makes it fun if you don’t fall you are not having fun.

True friendship is when you have someone you can trust, and can be honest to no matter what. It’s when someone can back you up in tough situations, and defend you. But it’s also someone who turns you in when you need it, and when it’s absolutely necessary.
A good friend of mine is Nic Haderlie, he’s fun to hang out with, and he’s smarter than most therapists and college professors. The best thing is that Nic and I share most of the same interests, for example we both love music more than anything else, it’s been with us for most of our lives and we love it. I really feel like I can tell Nic about anything without being criticized or exploited by him, and we never really get into arguments about anything. I’m pretty sure we’ll be friends for the rest of our lives.

People by nature judge other people. Most people base everything they do on the judgments they, make down to the things they chose to eat. We all go through our own things in life, but does that mean we should judge other people on the things they’ve gone through or not gone through? There are always going to be people that you just don’t get along with, that do things you personally wouldn’t and often we condemn those people. It happens everyday and that, to me, is too often.
We hypocritically judge people for things we’ve done in the past and think nothing of it. We talk about people we really don’t know in a negative way and then get offended when they do it in return. We do things in attempt to get back at someone who’s done you wrong but expect them not to get mad. We look at the way someone’s dressed and stereotype them, and we look at what someone is driving or who’s with them and assume the type of person they are.
Everyone does these thing yet we all say we don’t. I admit I judge people when I don’t have the right to, though I try not to hold people to my opinions. We all are human and we try to use that as an excuse when in my opinion it’s all the more reason to try to over come the negative habits we have developed.

Tradition is something people do for a reason, but don’t think about it. Just like Christmas celebrations to each person means something different to each person. Some may say its just a holiday, while others will have special memories attached to the holiday.
One of the traditions I have with my friends is on holidays, we each bring enough of something for everybody to put into a banquet. We feast like a family and share stories.
A ritual is something some one does and it has a deep and personal meaning. A ritual can be as simple as my foster family’s “Family Prayer” each night.
One of my rituals is my Wiccan magic rituals. Each spell and potion mean something different. So I do “Wiccan Rituals”.
-When you realize something you had never noticed before. And you go” Wow Hu?”
There was a song I used to listen to all the time and I never paid much attention to what it said. One day I was listening to it and went “whoa!” I realized just what it was saying. It was amazing!

“True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost”
-Charles Caleb Colton
I think true friendship is one of the hardest things to find in ones life. Now that I am pregnant, I’ve learned who my true friends are. They are the ones that are still there for me and don’t think any differently of me now that I’m having my own family. A couple of them I have known since I was 7 years old, but one of my closets friends I have only known for 4 years. I think one of the most important things in true friendship is that they will be honest with you about everything, but I also think it’s important for them to be able to help you and be able to make you feel better no matter what.
My two best friends are Carter and Billy. Billy is 6’ 4” (as tall as my pap’s) I have known him from the time I was 7 years old. I like to call him my therapists because he helps me solve my problems when I don’t know who else to turn too. He is so close to me and my boyfriend that we call him our brother and he is one of our godfathers. This is one of thee only people I know that just by seeing his face he can make me happier even if I had just been crying. My other friend Carter and he is the other godfather. He now lives up in Sugar House so I don’t get to see him as much. He and I have been friends since I got into high school. When I talk to him, I can’t help but laugh because of some of the things he says.
I have experienced losing friends in multiple ways, but I think the worst way I have lost a friend is in a car accident. His name was Keifer Sandoval. He died the first Friday of my sophomore year. I met him one night when I decided to walk down to the park by my house. He and his friends were all jumping around the tables screaming with their shirts off. When he got in the crash, it was around 6:45 am he overcorrected and went over the embankment with his little brother in the car. When all of us kids that were at school, we found out it was in first period when they announced that one of our students had been in a wreck. Then in second period they finally announced his name and told people that knew him to come to the auditorium so that we could talk and listen to his music.

Growing old is a natural part of life. Just because you’re getting old, doesn’t mea you have to grow up, but people should mature.
Growing old does not scare me. I have always been “growing old”, but I haven’t really been growing up. I do hate shaving though, so that part of growing old I hate.
I don’t embrace growing old or fight it; I’m indifferent to growing older. I know one day I’ll get old and die, and that day is coming. However I don’t want it to be too soon. It’s just like Kenny Chesney’s song, every body wonna go to heaven.
Preacher told me last Sunday mornin’
Son, you better start livin’ right.
Gotta stop the wisky and women,
And caryin’ on all night.
Don’t you want to hear him call your name?
When you’re standing at the pearly gates?
I told the preacher,
Yes sir I do,
But I hope he don’t mind the wait.
I ain’t ready!
Every body wonna go to heaven,
Have a mantion up above the clouds.
Every body wonna go to heaven,
But nobody wonna go now.

My little sister and my dad make me happier than anything. Also having good friends that have my back makes me happy, as well as my pets, sunlight, nature, skating, basketball and anything funny.
The key to eternal happiness is finding the things that really make you happy and make them your top priority in life. Don’t slip up my running off with friends breaking laws and digging a hole for yourself. A huge key to happiness is just following your conscience and being a normal person.
Although you don’t have to graduate to be happy, graduating high school is also a huge key to happiness. It is much harder to be happy without a high school diploma. I actually have to come back to school next year as a super senior in order to obtain the twenty-seven credits required to graduate, but it will be worth the wait. The overall best advice I can give someone to be happy is: ‘get your priorities strait’.
